There was a boy who was poor, and sometimes he did not even ate for days, but he had a good heart. A boy was reminded by his teacher that smiling is an act of giving (shadoqah). So whenever he came across donation boxes, he will look at it and smile as he did not have any money to donate. To him, smiling would ease his desire to give!
