Upper Seletar Reservoir Rocket Tower & Surroundings

Upper Seletar Reservoir is the third largest impounding reservoir in Singapore, after MacRitchie Reservoir and Peirce Reservoir (Upper & Lower), located within the Central Water Catchment area.

Before the completion of the Lower Seletar Reservoir in Nee Soon, built by damming up the mouth of the Seletar River, in 1986, the Upper Seletar Reservoir was known as the Seletar Reservoir. The Seletar Reservoir was constructed to satisfy the increase in water demand following World War I. Built in 1939 and completed in 1940; and officially opened on August 10 1969, by Princess Alexandra.
