1 November 2019 – 3rd day in Kota Kinabalu. Riding from the City Centre to the mountainous district of Ranau – the Kundasang Valley, where the Kota Kinabalu Park was situated. We did not planned to hike the highest mountain of Malaysia, Mount Kinabalu, but just to experience staying within the area. We managed to pre-book a resort, J Residence Nabalu.
On our way to Kundasang, we stopped by a small town Tamparuli, a sub-district of Tuaran, to see the most famous bridge above the Kiulu River. There are 2 bridges. The bottom bridge which is a few meters right above the Kiulu River, was built by British Engineers back in the 1950s, are meant for vehicles to pass through. The suspension bridge which is built high above the Kiulu River was meant for pedestrians to cross over to the other side.
